Workshop information
Developing and presenting a workshop as part of the Kids Teaching Kids Program is a hugely rewarding process. To be part of the Kids Teaching Kids Program you first need to register and select how you wish to be involved. If you choose to develop a workshop there are a number of ways you can be involved:
-
You can present your Kids Teaching Kids workshop within your local community i.e. to a local community group, council representative/s or business
-
You can host a mini Kids Teaching Kids event at your school during Kids Teaching Kids Week – August 30th to September 3rd
-
You can consider attending a state or national Kids Teaching Kids Conference
Once you have decided to develop a workshop you should contact our Education Officer Cat Kozlowski BEFORE completing a specific conference presentation proposal or a proposal to host an event for Australia Post Kids Teaching Kids Week. You can contact Cat on 03 9329 3736 or

Cat and our Education Manager Richard Wood will be able to provide you with lots of information, topic ideas, suggested workshop themes, mentors on your selected topics and support throughout the whole workshop development process.
Official registration to present a workshop must be done via the Conference Registration process or Australia Post Kids Teaching Kids Week if you intend on presenting your workshop or hosting an event during this week. If attending a state or international Kids Teaching Kids Conference you will have a specific registration form where you can indicate your interest in presenting, and then log back in by the due date with full details of your presentation topic and presentation ideas.
We require that you view the short video clip called 'Making a Great Presentation'. You should also download the WORKSHOP DEVELOPMENT MANUAL and check out the frequently asked questions (FAQs) on this website.
